2021-2022 AmeriCorps member Maddie Kinscher wrote two articles for Serve Wisconsin discussing how her perspective and skills in community and public health have grown since the start of her term in the fall of 2021.
The first article discusses the Badger State Box program. Central Rivers Farmshed is serving as a distribution site and through this she has observed how Badger Boxes are directly and positively impacting her community by supplying fresh, Wisconsin grown products and being accessible to underserved populations. Maddie was a scholarship recipient to attend the Action Policy Institute with the American Public Health Association in Washington, DC.
