FairShare CSA Coalition, Madison, WI

FairShare CSA Coalition, a Madison, WI-based nonprofit, supports and connects community supported agriculture (CSA) farmers and consumers.  Through outreach and education we foster a cohesive network of committed farmers and community members who believe CSA is the backbone of a vibrant, just and healthy food system, where all families have access to locally produced, organic food and have strong connections to their farms, food and community.

Aggregate Project Coordinator

Will work with diversified vegetable farmers, organizational partners, and FairShare staff to determine the feasibility of and aggregated sales through CSA, and/or other local markets, sourcing primarily from HMoob (Hmong) farmers. This work will be done through farmer trainings, a consumer survey, and a pilot aggregated sales program to launch in 2023. Candidates should speak both HMoob and English.

Priority application deadline is 1/17/22. Rolling applications open through 1/31/22.

Network Coordinator

Will support the development and coordination of two distinct and complementary networks. The first of which is a new regional Midwest Vegetable Grower Support Network that will operate as a training and community-building hub supporting diversified vegetable growers in 8 Midwestern states. The Network Coordinator will also support the continued development of the CSA Innovation Network (CSA-IN), a national network that strengthens the CSA model across the U.S. by facilitating ideas-sharing across the CSA community.
