Central Rivers Farmshed

We organize events, programs, workshops and resources that help support a local food economy.

Are you a gardener wishing to get a jumpstart on the growing season? Do you lack the space, light, materials, or know-how to start your own vegetable plants from seed?

Attend the general information meeting for the Growing Collective (a group of community members who together grow vegetable starts) on Wed. Feb 19th at 6:30 at The Greenhouse Project, 1220 Briggs Court, Stevens Point.

  • Help with hoophouse construction and planting preparation in February.
  • Get experience with the planting and germination process in March.
  • Learn more about seedling care and transplanting in April.
  • Help organize the plant sale to support Farmshed’s Greenhouse Project in May.
  • Take home starts for your own garden (see levels), be part of a community of growers, learn new skills.
