Beekeeping with Buzz Vahradian of V’s Bees

Saturday, March 2nd from 9am to 3pm

Buzz (seriously, that’s his name!) will teach participants the fundamentals of beekeeping; providing a thorough overview for beginners with an interest in starting a hive and others just fascinated with the lives of these super organisms.

Participants will learn about:

  • Honey Bee Biology
  • When and Where to Get Bees
  • Proper Equipment
  • Colony management
  • Diseases and Pests
  • Honey Harvest and Extraction
  • Properties of Honey

Buzz Vahradian is an experienced beekeeper with a farm in Wautoma, WI. They produce raw unpasteurized honey (actually, the bees do all the work). Their local nectar source is native wildflowers.

Cost of the workshop: $50 or $40 for members. Lunch and handouts are included in course fee. Advanced registration is required, please purchase your ticket here.
