Celebrate Your Local Farmers at the 10th Annual Farmer Tribute Dinner!
The public is invited to attend Farmshed’s Farmer Tribute Dinner on Saturday, November 11th. Each year this event brings community members together to honor our local farmers and celebrate the harvest season. Farms listed in the Central Wisconsin Farm Fresh Atlas are treated to this meal at the end of each growing season in recognition of their hard work and dedication to provide fresh food for our community. Community members purchase tickets to join the celebration and help sponsor the farmers’ meals.

Clint Schultz, from Urban Street Bistro, will craft this year’s harvest menu featuring delicious ingredients from many of the attending farms including pastured meat dishes, fall vegetables, and more. . Farmshed is partnering with UWSP’s Students for Sustainability to plan and host the event, which will take place at the Farmshed Greenhouse. Farmshed is seeking sponsorships for the event and donations for the silent auction.

Tickets for the Farmer Tribute Dinner go on sale, next Friday, September 15th. Early bird pricing applies. Plus, the event is limited to 200 tickets, so do not miss this perfect opportunity to say thanks to all of our wonderful farmers in the area while enjoying great company and a delicious meal!

All of the producers honored during this meal are part of the Central Wisconsin Farm Fresh Atlas, a free publication listing farmers who sell food directly to consumers in the central Wisconsin area. It is a tool that connects the community to farmers as well as businesses and organizations that support the idea of a local food economy. This resource guide is published on an annual basis each February and will debut at the 2018 Local Food Fair (2/17/18 at SentryWorld). View the Atlas online or apply to advertise by visiting farmshed.org.
